Pink Floyd have such a way with words. Plus a kickin' guitar bit in the middle, there.

Coming in right after listening to 'Death On Two Legs', this one caught me completely off guard. I've treasured the tune ever since.
- 8. The Prophet's Song by Queen
I like Queen's mythical pieces as well as Zeppelin's.
- 7. Achilles' Last Stand by Led Zeppelin
I like the mythical side of Led Zeppelin almost as much as I like the rest of it. In fact, I think they're about equal. Please disregard THAT pointless, pathetic little statement and keep going.
- 6. Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix
This was the first real song I ever learned to play. And I must say, I think I did pretty damned good.
- 5. Communication Breakdown by Led Zeppelin
I almost changed to guitar when I heard 'Communication Breakdown'. Then I heard Jonesy in the background and I thought "Eh, maybe not".
- 4. Hotel California by The Eagles
This one is just cool. What with all the metaphorical lyrics. At least, I think they're metaphorical. Ummmmm....moving on....

The second greatest ever.....
- 1. Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin
The greatest song/guitar solo/vocal work ever.
Ok, rock-wise, The Beatles ruled The '60's, Zeppelin ruled the '70's, and AC/DC ruled the '80's. Then after that everything got really crappy. I tried to make the list diverse. I'm mostly a Zeppelin fan.

The song was great then and it's still great now. Not to mention the popularity is still there.

Grease is definitely the word. #2 movie soundtrack to come out in the 70's... behind Saturday Night Fever.

EJ's song about good times and good friends. Great song.
