One of the few romantic songs out there that can get me in the mood.

The sixties and seventies were the only time period where soul music had more individuality...unlike the bland crap that is played today.

Eric Idle is crucified, and yet he sings: Always look on the bright side of life. A simple message, but the song tells it.

To be honest, you wouldn't find too many other song by Frankie Valli in my collection. But this one is simply good. Don't know why, it's just good to me.
- 5. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John
Best in it's original form, with Elton John as the sole performer. It's a song that affects me. I have always thought it was a good track, and it gives a feeling of tranquility.
- 4. Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty
The saxophone solo in the beginning of this song is simply legendary. But the song itself is very good.
- 3. Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
This epic track has it all. It embraces the great, lyrical and epic of all music.
- 2. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
One of the best-known songs of the 70's, and rightly so. It contains many music forms, and its versatility carries the song.
- 1. Piano Man by Billy Joel
Has always been one of my favourite songs. Just a piano man, singing of the fates of people in the bar. Has an atmosphere that is irresistable.
