Lotsa people liked the Doobies before Michael McDonald, I think they were so much better and different with him. One of my favorite songs by one of my two favorite bands.
- 3. What's Going On by Marvin Gaye
Most beautiful vocal performance, hard song to sing. Very powerful lyrics, smart and true to society. Marvin's best by a long shot.
- 2. Imagine by John Lennon
Lennon was the most articulate, artistic, musical Beatle, and wrote this amazing song. One of the many hippie theme songs.
- 1. Minute By Minute by The Doobie Brothers
Most people think 'Stairway', but it's Michael McDonald's beautiful lyrics, voice, piano playing, they were so much better with him. This whole album was HUGE, no one remembers it was late seventies.

No, not band camp, nor does it promote teen sex. This is a song, not a movie.

Free Bird was a great song, but I think Sweet Home Alabama is just simply better.

- 1. I'm Not In Love by 10cc
Brings back the most vivid memories of the 70's for me. I was a whole 11 years old when this song was released.
Most of what I chose are songs from my pre-teen/early teen years. Takes me back to a more "innocent" time. When I hear those songs, images are immediately conjured up of what it was like then. I'd KILL for a time machine! I bet you would too!
