Description
It was a glob of something in a package. We loved it because you could throw it at the wall and it stuck, but you could take it off easily, My best friends mom gave us crap because she said it left an oily stain on her wallpaper. Would love to hear from someone who remembers this. Definitely 70's.

I remember this stuff. My sister and I loved it too until it was one of our hair. I think we had to use peanut butter to get it out. I have asked others if they recall it and most say, no. Finally someone else who has heard of this stuff.

Wow! Three whole people in all of netdom who remember this stuff. It was like a cross between playdoh and slime. Not as hard as playdoh, but soft enough to splat and stick on walls. Then it peeled off (sometimes leaving the oily print behind!) That's why I always used it on the refrigerator. Great stuff from the 60's and 70's! I don't know the manufacturer. Do you?

The name is not familiar but these descriptions are the closest I've found to describe what I remember. I'm thinking it may have been discontinued due to the stains it left on walls. I remember at least two different colors: orange and green. Much lighter color than Play-Doh, almost neonish (for the time).

I remember having this stuff. We got in trouble because we threw it up on the ceiling and it left a blue and pink spot. Mom wasn't happy about that! :)

It was made by Dixie Toys which was owned by Stevens Mfg. I used to be in a test family where me and my brothers and sisters where guinea pigs to test their products. They also made the famous 60's toy pick up sticks if anyone can remember them. As well as Chinese checker boards and Kaleidoscopes.

Wow! What memories this brings back. The first time that I ever dropped acid, I went to a game arcade that had a room lit with blacklights. This stuff would glow under the lights and I spent quite a while throwing the stuff at the wall.

I found this page after I went looking for the Z-plop commercial on YouTube. I didn't even remember what the stuff what, just the sound of that commercial: "Zplop! Zplop!"

I loved this stuff! And I even remember the song from the commercial. As I recall, it came in blue and red, and it did leave an oily mark where it hit, so my mom made us only throw it at windows and doors. So much fun!!
