unreal. my brother and I played that game back in the day... we are both early 40s now, and want to try to purchase one. tried to "WHOOSH" in a google search, nothing of that name came up.. its the right description, seems to be wrong name of the game, someone help pleaseeee.

I am also looking for a game called whoosh. I plyed it when I was young. It has a handle on each end a red looking piece in the middle that looks like a football. You try to keep it from hitting your from hitting your hands and you go back and forth. Each time it hits you score a point. If you have any luck let me kow and will do the same. The name is correct.

OMG! I have been searching for this very same toy for 2-3 YEARS...this is the first time I have found anyone mention it as I remember it....we played it until our arms were worn out! A few years ago, my mom was in a rehabilitation center, and they actually used one as an excercise!! I have searched under everything from vintage toys, to physical therapy with NO luck!
this is exactly what I was searching for...on FB a few friends were remin about fave toys..and one mentioned something that sounded like this..when I explianed and inquired if this is what she was talking about she exclaimed "No! That sounds scary as hell!" so I've been on a quest to find the toy and sho her it was fun (and also a tiny bit scary..that football would really come whizzin @ you @ time!)
It's unbelieveable that nobody has that toy game or even a picture.If you want to try and search for it in stores try k-mart first because they used to sell them there.☺☻
I also am looking for the game called WOOSH. We recently visited my father in Flordia and he had it. It is made by ILLCO. However no luck in finding it

Me and my sister have been talking about it for ages, couldn't remember what is was called. Then when on holiday in 2009 we found one in a shop in the Algarve...couldn't believe it. Not the quality is was back then but we had to buy one each just for memorys sake! lol

hello all that game whoosh is called rocket ball set u can buy at five below stores i bought 3 for my kids paid 4.00 each does the same thing whoosh did it brought back alot of good memories omg i loved that game whoosh go buy 1 at five below.

I just bought one at a yard sale in the packaging. This one was called Playbuoy. I took a video of my kids playing it & also posted a pic of the packaging on Facebook. When I spotted it at the sale I got so giddy! The folks who had it at their sale said I was the first one who knew what that was! I cannot find anything on the Internet about this. It's so cool & works perfectly! I'm wondering if it's worth any money?!
I have been looking for whoosh for several years also. I would love to share it with some of my younger friends who don't understand how something so simple could entertain for hours! It was a great arm work out.

I just found a Whoosh game in the trunk of my mother-in-law's car. It is made by Illco toy co. New York,NY. Has 2 blue handles on each end of ropes and red football shaped plastic ball in middle. My daughter was asking about it and I didn't have a clue where it was until my husband inherited his mothers car.

Hey everyone...The Whoosh game you are talking about is called Rocket Ball at the store Five Below. It's exactly the same!
I just played with one. It was at physical therapy. I took a friend to pt and they used it for therapy, so when I got home I looked it up on Ebay. There is one in the box used for $29. I think I will make one.

If you put zoom ball into amazon then you will get this type of product. I thought it was called woosh ball too but nothing comes up - put zoom ball into the search bit and it will find it!!!
