I also loved the Klacker Balls. We had Klack-offs at school during recess or lunch. For more vintage toys to view ... visit: http://flickr.com/photos/metalart7/page3/ pages 3-6, Enjoy!

I played with Klacker Balls so much that my mom took me to the emergency room TWICE thinking I had chipped a bone in my arm. I had a big knot on my forearm for awhile after she made me quit playing. I thought I was GOOD, I wonder?? I recall the speed of those balls were phenominal! You could not see the balls or the string they went that fast!!!!!!!!!

Those were great toys I remember playing with as as kid. A frien of ours - Bud Smith out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was actually the inventor of these. He also invented the Wink eye huggers for glasses.

My wife and I was talking about these, we said we just loved them you would hit your arm to where you could barely hold on to the clacker ring. say a few words then right back at it. We alo took them to school for recess and lunch thye wouldn't even be allowed in a school now days.

I believe they were actually invented and sold by a guy named Bill from California until he got sued when they shattered and injured a young girl and lost all the money he made on them.

Wacky Klackers are now big on the Wildwood, New Jersey boardwalk. I can't believe I still know how to do this from all those years back. My kids love them.
