Description
A bit like Evel Knievel, but with cars and bikes. You mount the car/bike on a ramp with a fat air pump on it. Then pump like mad until the internal air jet driven gyro gets spinning really fast, then release the lever and ...WOW!. I managed to jump the bike completely across the street (20 ft of so). The pump made an awful high pitched screeching noise that drove my parents mad, and freaked out my cats! One of the best toys I ever had, way better than Evel Knievel.

Oh wow, I remember this, it used to be advertised on the back of the DC comics imports I used to buy in the 70s. I was crazy to get one and for Christmas 1976 my brother managed to get hold of one. I could never get it to work. :-( Looked cool though.

I had a (2) TTP's in the mid to late 70's. The first one was a green sports car that I believe was a Dino Ferarri. I remember the whine that it made as the air motor spun up to speed. I also loved the short curve section of track that could be attached to the bottom of the ramp to launch the car on two wheels -- worked great. I liked it so much that bought me a second one for my birthday (a purple Triumph). The Triumph never worked as well as the Ferarri. Wish I still had one of them.

I was clearing the loft out at my mum's recently and found my old TTP. The car is bright red (Ferrari? Not sure!) I had hours of fun as a kid. A friend had the motorbike which, as I vividly remember, could jump up ramps to great heights. Great childhood memories.

Remember it well, amazing memories of childhood in the 1970's. Purchased a TTP red sports car a few years ago at a toy fair here in England, just couldn't pass on it, been up in loft today and found it still in orig box, thought about e-bay, saw a blue one for £50 but can't bring myself to list it, very rare item indeed.

I've managed to build a small collection of TTP stuff over the last couple of years. Always keeping my eye out for more(especially the riders/bikes). If anyone has any that they might be willing to part with, please feel free to drop me a line at bionicfanboy@hotmail.com

Loved my TTP. I recall having a ramp of some sort and as mentioned above the yellow/brown striped cycle rider, broke the forks as well. That thing would fly. Great stuff
