She actually held a mixer that plugged into a battery powered kitchen counter. The mixer had gears that fit into the grooved edge of her mixing bowl so it stayed in the bowl while she mixed up the pudding.
I still have my Sweet Cookie Doll and I think all of the accessories. I LOVED playing with her and making pudding as a child. I carefully packed her away so when I had children they could enjoy it. Now, I'm waiting to be a grandma, no babies on the way, so I can share my Swewt Cookie with my grand children. We were talking about the toys we had as kids and that's what prompted me to look her up.
I did the cross stitch needlepoint on the box.I was in college, a friend worked for an advertising agency that was looking for someone who could do it. Having done embroidery, but not cross stitch, I volunteered. The money was good, but it was much harder than my young mind imagined,consequently it took all my time, as there was a deadline.Friends still call me Cookie.The piece was very beautiful, wish I had it now,wonder what happened to it? Never saw the doll until now as I'd forgotten about it.
