Description
made by the ideal toy company, i think she stood like 21 inches tall. her original outfit was a long one piece button up dress that was pink and white checkered, she came with a guitar and and amp that plugged into her back. you would insert little records into the amp and it would play the record by means of a "D" size battery. and as the music played from her amplifier, she would hold her guitar and her right arm would move like she was playing the guitar and her head would sway back and forth. she came with some "burkenstock" type maroon vinyl sandals. she had long, streaked, blonde and light red hair that was parted on the right side of her head, big brown eyes that didn't open and close, with eyelashes and she had a more mature body with molded breast and a slim waist. one thing about this doll was that she didn't stand straight. her legs were not the same. her left leg was more bent at the knee and the foot turned a bit so that it looked like she was posing as she was "playing" her guitar. i don't remember this doll when i was growing up, but now as an adult, i am the proud owner of one : ) she is a great representation of a guitar strumming, peace loving, hippy from back in the day. she was made and sold in the early "70's". she is often confused as being from the "crissy" family of "growing" hair dolls. but she was not one of the "growing" hair dolls cuz she did not have the "growing" hair feature, and another thing that was different from her and the "growing" hair dolls of the "crissy" family was that the "crissy" & friends dolls had the open and close eyes, and harmony's eyes didn't open and close. although, she did resemble them in her looks alot. but then again, she was an "ideal" toy company doll.
