Description
she was very controversial for her time this was after all Barbies "little" sister. she came with to outfits one for young skipper the other for her older self, you turn her arm and poof! like magic (ha ha) she had a smaller waist and an actual bust line she also grew a fraction taller. then to reverse it you simply turned the arm back

I use to have the growing up skipper doll and when I ask people about it they do not remember it. Was it taken off the market because it was so contriversial? My dad gave mine to my niece and her mom left it when she moved out of town. I would like to find one to add to my collection. My email address is jillbutler9@yahoo.com

hey JILL! did your aunt leave town because of the humiliation heaped upon her for the OBSENE doll you gave her child?! HAHA!-just joking jill,i remember that doll.i liked it because i was just at that age where i was wishing to grow some b**bies of my own.i finally did and i still love them.there was also a "barbie-like" doll out for a while in the 90's that had a swelling tummy that u could remove, take the baby out of,then replace the swelled tummy with a flat one(YEAH,RIGHT).parents were appalled about the removing baby bit-i was upset over the replace with a flat tummy part. talk about unrealistic expectations for young girls. i think it was a mail away for doll.anyway things were differnet and better in the 70's

I remember it, had one. Dont remember the controversy. Unfortunately, my parents threw all my toys up as I grew up.

I used to have a growing up skipper doll. I would love to get one for my daughter. I developed early and it was to have a doll who could do the same.
