Description
Similar to Creepy Crawlers. You made them from goo and added wild colored hair. Resembled "trolls".

My twin sister and I had both a Vac-u-form and a Creeple People set that our Dad gave us for Christmas. Oh how we loved to make things with it. We made a creeple people person that you put on a pencil and it stood up like a skinny person. We gave it to my dad for the next Christmas. He was a college professor and put it on his desk in his office. It stayed there from the mid-60's until he retired in the 80's and his students would always comment on it. Since I also went to college there (Ball State) I would always see it on his desk when I passsed by and was secretly thrilled that he treasured it, weird looking as it was. When he passed away four years ago at age 89, I found it in his things. It brought back lots of fond memories.

My twin brother and I also had a set of Creeple People molds. We did this in the late 1960's and invented an entire language and personality for each "Creapoe." To this day, we still talk to each other this way ... our spouses hate it .... it is becuase they just lack "the concept of Creeple People". For Christmas a few years back, my brother bought me a Creeple People set off ebay and we made a few more. The original Creapoes refer to these as "Replacements...." Of course, most of our Creeple People are now "Vacationing in the Land Fill" as Creapoe would say. But we still each have 3 of the originals .... now some 45 years later

I still have my original set in the box. Can anyone tell me where to find the goop so I can pass down the third degree burns to my grandsons?

Hi! I had Creeple People, too, bought at Turnstyle in Davenport IA sometime around '66-'67. I loved it. A friend of mine had Fun Flowers which I think was another version of the toy. How funny it would be to still be able to get the "Plasti-goop" I think it was called. Lord only knows what that stuff was made of. I can still sorta remember the smell of that stuff 'cooking' in the little hot plate. Ah, the fumes. Geeze.

To Ray and Lori: Your few chances of obtaining the rubbery-gelatin Thingmaker goop are to google it and see if some may be available on EBay, or if an antique dealer may have some. Chances of getting any from Mattel are nill, since the toymaker discontinued these products in 1970, and no new versions have been manufactured. Too many cases of kids getting burned or sick from eating the finished figures (other than Incredible Edibles, which were sugar-filled gels like Dots).

Today I was at the neighborhood flea market. And there it was the original creeple people box. Opened it up and everything was with it. But no goop. It was amazing it brought back so many memories. Got burned, goop everywhere it was great. So I snapped it up for $15..now I need to find the goop. To friggin funny.

My big sister had the Creeple People, Incredible Edibles, and the Creepy Crawlers sets. I had the Vac-U-Form that made cars, boats & airplanes. Our two younger sisters weren't lucky enough to have any of these toys. I still have some Creepy Crawlers stashed away. I was at the Cattle barn #1 on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth last year where a dealer had both the Vac-U-Form and a Creeple People set for sale.
