Description
Imposters by Aurora! Cars that looked like normal cars that change into killer racing machines. Includes a cool Volkswagen Beetle,Gremlin Pinto and Willys. Watch that engine pop out as your car turned from a mild mannered street car to a wicked street machine.

WOW! Great find! I had the purple one in like 73ish(?)It's a real trip back in time to see this again, great pics. Back then this was high tech!
I had the yellow beetle as a kid. '72-73 era.
I had the yellow VW, my brother had the purple Willys. I have been trying to remember the names of these toys for a long time. They still look cool today.
Go to You Tube and type in Aurora Imposters Commerical. The original is there, with Tom Bosley doing the voice over !

i had something like this when i was young but it was a van that transformed in to a dragster Ive been searching for just what it was and this is the closest Ive found if anyone has any info please leave a comment

I have the willy coupe in original box. My grand father bought it for me the day i was born and my dad has kept it in the closet ever since.Only time it comes out of the box is to oil every now and then.

I have the willys and the bug and i am looking for the pinto. to the earlier post the blazer dragster he mentioned is called the lazer blazer, i have a black one and a red one. though not for sale by me, they can be found occassionally on ebay

Jerry, even without the box it would be worth a good chunk of change. easily 30 dollars if it is in working condition with lever.
