Hi Paul, yes I also went through a bit of frustration with my zorr back in the early 70's. It took a number of trys to figure out what I was doing wrong. The spring clip would pop off to early or it would fly right back down without gliding. Most all of it was about the adjustment of the tail. Depending on what position the tail was in determined how it would fly. I was also trying to take off from a mound of dirt in the park next to my house and the claws would dig in and the clip would come off. Putting it on a peice of flat board or something else smooth really helped for take off. Once I got the adjustments right I made a number of really good flights. Yes there were also a number of times it hit a tree or came down hard and needed repair. it finally was to far gone to repair so it was trashed. I still have two Zorr's both unused but still missing the one body half. If I ever find the other part I may take it to the park and see if I can get a decent flight to post on you tube.
