As kids I remember making the switch from our car to grand maw and grand paw's 66 Chevy Impala. We were in Jacksboro, TX at the Green Frog Restaurant. This was the half-way drop-off point between Ft. Worth and Seymour. It was summer time. School was over and we were on the move. Kids looking for a change and a lot of new adventures. It was grand maws tradition to pull out the Yum Yums about 30 minutes into the drive West. To us it seemed a whole lot longer but the treat about to be shared would distract us all the way into their home town. Kibbler needs to realize that these cookies are much more than a simple snack. This iconic cookie satisfied a generation of kids who are now wanting to pass a family tradition on to their own kids. I too contacted the company and got the same -not in our target market- speech. That's unsatisfactory. At least consider letting The Vermont Country Store carry these delights as they do so many other classics. Call VCS and ask them to pursue the issue. Maybe than can bring the Yum Yum back to us.
