I remember the TV commercial in the 70s that had two people dressed like clowns illustrating how to make wrapples, similar to the Shields and Yarnell thing. My sister and I were making them in the 70s and accidentally dropped one on the kitchen floor. The caramel split in a particular way that made it look like the apple had a big smile on its face, as if it was telling us 'have a nice day' (appropriate for the 70s). :o)
