I used to get these catty-corner from my elementary school in Collinsville, OK. You had to have a note from a parent to cross the street to M.R. Grocery on the corner. The kids called it Mr. Grocery. The old man or woman who worked there(or maybe owned) would unwrap the sucker right there and if it was a winner, they would rip off the paper hand you the sucker right then. Now people would be appalled if someone did that--so many germs! Those germs were tasty!
