Mattel's Whizzers were sort of like the Duncan Yo-Yo of spinning tops. Made starting in 1969, these had disappeared and reappeared into at least the 1990s. Various styles, color patterns and new accesories were introduced each year. I have an early TV commercial that aired on the "Sky Hawks" cartoon show (10/11/69), part of ABC's Super Saturday!
