Wow is right. I have tried to explain these whistles to many people over the years to no avail. They just think I am crazy. I remember the black paper top, the smell and the taste so well. I knew Halloween was getting close every time I saw those treats. I would play it for a while, but just couldn't resist biting it eventually and chewing till I thought my jaw was going to fall off. Then mold it in my hands while it was warm. Boy I miss those retro goodies!
