I bought a overdue bird when it first came out and my friend and I would get stoned and play with it until the batteries were dead , and that took like 8 D batteries ,so it was an expensive deal to keep buying these batteries and we didn't have a clue about a battery charger , that's if they even had them back then . Well we found a way to charge dead batteries by using a model train transformer and connecting the positive and negative terminals to the respective terminals on the batteries , and you know something , it actually worked. We had hours of fun with that .
