From the Saturday morning cartoon vault, a zany TV commercial for the Silly Safari game by Topper Toys. The concept was lifted from Ideal's Mouse Trap. Teenage girl does puffy cheeks, younger girl and boy make funny faces. This aired during "Bugs Bunny Show" on ABC (11/12/66). Mr. Bubble, Kool Aid, Kellogg's Apple Jacks other sponsors. Network promos for "F Troop" and "Pruitts of South Hampton" with Phyllis Diller. The Silly Safari game was $5 retail in 1966. Much assembly was needed, and it had two dozen or so parts and components (including colored feet as player pawns) which were easy to lose. Single sheet with assembly instructions and game rules. A complete game today garners over $100. Silly Safari production ended in 1969.
