Trying to find the name of/photos of a childhood fave: (sigh, I don't even know how to describe it well -- please bear with me) it was a drawing "toy" of sorts: tablet-shaped, w/ a cardboard back, topped w/ a layer of wax or something similar. Covering that was a thin opaque sheet of plastic (I think). Using the little red stylus that came with it, you could doodle on it, then, when you filled up the page, or got tired of it, you'd just lift up the sheet - which would clear the images - replace the sheet over the wax coating, and start over! I think some of the tablets were themed, I guess that was supposed to inspire what you were drawing? The tablets could be used over and over, but after a time the wax coating didn't really "bounce back", there were just too many impressions from all the the past drawings. The sheet on top of the wax also eventually carried too many markings from all of that earlier fun. Please someone tell me that you remember this, and know the name of it! I know many of my childhood friends had this thing, but I'm beginning to think I hallucinated it, cos no one else (of the aforementioned childhood friends) seems to have any idea what I'm talking about! This is driving me loco! Thanks y'all!
