Matt: This may be the Hot Wheels Rod Runner set. Mattel first came out with this in 1970. I found an ad for it in an Archie comic book dated July, 1970. The set comes with dual tracking and two stick controls and speed control knobs. Enough track was included to form a figure eight, and two cars were included. The Rod Runner race set originally cost six dollars. The Speedway Set, with extra track pieces, was eight dollars. Mattel kept this on store shelves, with minor changes, until 1976.
