I'm trying to remember an educational learning toy from the mid 70s. It had questions on multiple, heavy cardstock pieces of paper that I vaguely remember as being square-shaped. There would be questions on left side (like 2 apples + 3 apples), with 3 possible answers to the question on the right side--with corresponding holes that fit over holes in the special tray the sheet went in. A separate plastic guy (or possibly clown) that had a straw-shaped cylinder pole attached at his bottom that was a few inches long would tell you if you had the right answer once you put the pole thing in the right hole in the cardboard card. If you chose the right answer, then I think the guy/clown's eyes either changed color--or perhaps the buttons on his shirt changed. I just know something turned green for correct and red for incorrect. I loved it because I could play school and create my own cards once I figured out how to make the holes match the bottom tray such the that right answer would align.) Kind of like a pre-hotdots toy, if you're familiar with that toy of today. Just curious if anybody knows what that toy was called? Tx!
