Responding to Kayeah's comment: This glass dog was offered by one or two of the two-bit novelty companies which advertised in Archie, DC or Marvel comic books. I believe this was offered in the late 1970s, since I haven't seen it in any comics from the 1960s or early '70s. The glass dog supposedly "predicted" the weather by changing color (yellow for sun, purple for rain or snow). Kind of like a prism, kind of like the "Magic 8 Ball." You had to either hold it up to a lamp, or in direct sunlight to make it change color. It was really aimed at kids under ten years old, the age group these novelty companies preyed on for sales. The novelty companies assumed that kids were stupid enough to believe anything (such as the "moneymaking machine" and "X-Ray Glasses." The little glass dog you're inquiring of will be hard to find, for it wasn't mass-marketed by a reputable toy company.
