There are two toys that I remember as a kid and haven't been able to identify... One was a set of translucent plastic tubes with grooves scored into them so that they could be fitted into one another on an offset fashion. Five tubes made an easy set of binoculars (two on each side joined by one in the center). The tubes were strong plastic and came in yellow, blue and pink (maybe green). Another was a nativity set that consisted of cutout figures that slide into a plastic tray with parallel grooves like a miniature stage set. The figures were printed on a stiff, flexible white plastic and were "lifelike" like a painting with true colors and shading. There may have been other scenes available but I had the nativity. We had the best toys back then!!
