Help me guys, the years were the mid 1970's. The toy was very obviously a stock car, I believe an early 1970's dodge charger. It was large, more than 12" long, maybe as large as 16" long. It was a hard plastic shell and body (very strong) painted red and blue (Richard Petty?) and you could use these little hex-nuts to remove the wheels, pull the engine, and replace "crumpled" body panels with fresh ones. I'm not thinking of SST Smash Up Derby, this was a very large car, not big enough for Mego's but, getting there, bigger than 1/18th scale thats for sure. CAN ANYONE HELP!? Its making me nuts :)
