I lived near the Triple Triangle location on Wilson Ave when it opened in the 60s. I remember the gimmick was the red triangle (hamburger fries and shake) cost 43 cents, the yellow with the cheeseburger was 48 cents, and the white with the fish sandwich was 53 cents. It also was in the local news when a kid crossed the railroad tracks behind the store through a stopped freight train and reached back under the cars for something (I think it might’ve been a puppy but I can’t remember for sure) when the train jerked into motion and both his arms were cut off. The guy at the Triple Triangle wrapped him up in towels and got him medical attention. Saved his life.
