I was one of five children growing up and our mom would always make us toastettes for breakfast. The strawberry kind. She would put (10) in a pan and spread butter over them and broil them in the oven until the butter melted and they were a golden brown...and OMG!!!! They were delicious :) My brothers and I would eat all except the crust and we would wrap it up in a paper towel and put it in the cabinet and it would be a foot race when the bus would drop us off after school. Oh how I miss the good ole days and the best toastettes ever. My children are now 25, 19, and 18 and I have brought them up on Poptarts. Actually...my daughter is know as the "POPTART QUEEN". I just so wish that they could experience the great taste of a good ole strawberry toastette. Now I have grandchildren and they have had the chance to experience Poptarts and I would love for my children and grandchildren (2nd & 3rd generations)to experience the great taste of a toastette.
