Tiger’s Milk was a tradition in our family as well in the 1970’s. It was so delicious, but I’m not sure I’d want Tiger’s Milk back, because it would most likely be a shadow of its former, robust self. I mean they already screwed up the taste when they “reformulated” it (code for adding questionable ingredients.) I bet some corporation has that original ingredient list (from the old Tiger’s Milk, before they changed the formula), but they’re sitting on it, probably for financial gain someday. Therefore I’m glad several on here posted their own recipes – can’t wait to try them (for preventative health reasons, I don’t consume animal products, so I’ll use a plant milk of some type). I also thought about leaving a comment with the company listed on the packaging as the distributor of Tiger’s Milk bars (Schiff Nutritional Group), but considering how horribly unhealthy those bars are, I’d be very afraid any resurrection of Tiger’s Milk drink powder would be loaded with sugar and (hidden and dangerous) manufactured additives. I noticed that if you want to contact Schiff, they provide an e-mail with the domain name for Reckitt Benckiser (schiffcustomercare@rb.com), a massive corporation which owns (or controls?) things like Lysol and Mucinex. I went to schiffnutrition.com and it redirects to schiffvitamins.com. They hawk vitamins and supplements – I saw nothing about Tiger’s Milk bars. Going to tigersmilk.com redirects to the global food giant, McCormick, which has clearly moved into the mass “food manufacturing” industry (manufacturing “food-like substances” is where all the money is). None of these companies seem to want to “pull back the curtain” on the history of Tiger’s Milk – lot’s of smoke and mirrors in giant corporations, designed to protect their interests. By the way, don’t bother with the Tiger’s Milk bars sold today… The very first (meaning largest) ingredient is high fructose corn syrup and the third highest ingredient is corn syrup! Gak! There’s a whopping 14 grams of sugar in one bar, and their “protein-rich” bar has 22 grams of sugar! The healthiest option is to skip all those supposedly “healthy” nutrition bars/shakes and eat real, whole food.
