FINALLY!!! After all these years of remembering this ice cream treat ( sherbert) I found someone who knows of them named like I did,' H- BARS! They had a brown wrapper with orange letters as I recall. Ate them in Grafton Cty...( Lebanon,Hanover,Etna, and near the Why. Mtns.I thought it was Sealtest or Hood, but no clue now...I enjoyed these in the 60's,and something similar in the70's or early 80's,which were not quite the same, but tasted great anyway! Oakhurst Dairy Farms had a ice cream counter that featured a Mandarin Chocolate ice cream/sherbert that was pretty close to the flavor of the H-Bar... I would just get a really super orange flavored high quality sherbert ,melt some good dark chocolate, and spoon it over and refreeze...Yum!! I also thought I was imagining the name..I don't recall it being called a Brownie Bar however.. Thanks to this site for posting, I would have been thinking I was the only one out there. And YES!? Why doesn't an ice cream maker make these excellent frozen treats???? If I had the money,I sure would!!! :-) Happiness is a H- Bar filled freezer!!!
