If you had Swabies, you had to have the "waffle stomper" boots to go with them. Long before "doc Martins" When the knees & cuffs of the swabies got too worn - you cut them off just below the pocket & had a pair of way too short shorts. This was also around the time of Hot Pants and little outfits called "Sizzlers", a shirt/hot pants combo that were WAY to revealing for 17 year old girls to be wearing to school
