We had a neighbor who worked for Sunshine Biscuits in the "thousand window bakery",their headquarters in Long Island City,Queens. Sunshine was purchased by The American Tobacco Co. in 1966 and moved to AmTobCo's building at 245 Park Avenue. Too bad AmTobCo didn't invest more in Sunshine Sunshine had a huge regional potato chip business which in 1971 were all branded as Sunshine. Also they were selling packaged cakes in vending machines in Grand Central Terminal around 1969. one was called U-NEKE and the other Lemon Delite@15 cents!!! I saw a copy of Lemon Coolers being sold in a Cracker Barrel in Fishkill, NY. The full name was Cup Custard;Nabisco copied it with Baronet. Sunshine had "Oatmel-Peanut Sandwich, again copied by Nabisco as Nutter Butter. Sunshine had Peanut Butter Patties in the late 60's; now Nabisco has a version under the NutterButter name TruBlu was sold to another company. "ORBIT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK FOR MORE" was their slogan. remeber seeing an ad in LIFE around 1968 for Hydrox,ORBIT and Sugar Wafers. Lemon Vienna Fingers were great as were the Vienna Fingers sans creme filling with one cookie with chocolate on one side. PS-ORBIT was a coconut cookie with creme filling and perfectly square; delicious and unique. Does anyone remember "OLE! the party cracker of today circa 1971 and the American Heritage line of crackers which included a pumpernickel version
