I remember when Summit and Twix were introduced. Loved them both. I was in high school and had several newspaper routes back then. A glossy flyer in the Sunday funnies introduced both bars, and the flyer had a coupon for each candy bar. No buy one, get one deal. It was a coupon for a free candy bar. Out of my 350-400 Sunday paper customers, I can safely say that none of them received a coupon for a free candy bar!! I will admit that store clerks would look at me funny when I came in with 24 coupons and got a case of candy bars and placed it on the counter. Still, strange looks but no hassles. Ahh, the good times.
