This "Stripe It Rich Cake" recipe was printed on the back of a Jello box a long time ago Stripe It Rich Cake 1 cake mix (flavor of your choice) 2 boxes Jello-O Pudding Mix (NOT instant---flavor of your choice) 1 cup powdered sugar 4 cups milk 2 tablespoons butter 1. Make cake as directed on cake mix box using 9x13 pan. 2. When cake is done, remove from oven and immediately punch holes in cake with the handle of a wooden spoon. Set cake aside. 3. In medium saucepan combine powdered sugar and pudding mixes. Whisk in milk. Add butter. 4. Cook pudding and powdered sugar mixture, stirring constantly, over medium heat until mixture comes to full, rolling boil. 5. Pour evenly and slowly over the entire cake allowing it to run into the holes. It will level off, frosting the cake as well. 6. Chill at least two hours. 7. Serve with Cool Whip. (The original recipe calls for whipped cream.) 8. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
