We used to eat Hamdingers frequently in California in the 80s and early 90s. I have not seen them for quite sometime, but think of them every so often. Maybe we learned of them from Wisconsin, since my Mom was from there, but we'd buy them at Vons in LA, and they became a favorite of all who came over. My Mom would fry them up and put them on an onion bun with some thin sliced sweet pickles, thin sliced onions and a white cheese of some sort.. awesome! Wish i could have seen the commercial!
