Reaction? None whatsoever, parkas are back in fashion everywhere, well they seem to be where I go. They even make copies of the 80s ones and they sell! So wearing an original gets no reaction as they are fashionable again. And believe it or not they are 'cool' to wear a retro original, they are much sought after. Equally for me, I just like wearing them, as I did as a kid in the 80s, I think they are great coats!
