Had a sizzler dress in 75, when I was a 7th grade student @ El Sausal Jr. High in Salinas, California. I am pretty sure my mom bought it @ The Clothes Hanger, on Main in Salinas, which at the time was THE place for fashionable clothing at the time. They also sold Dittos, Cheap Jeans (brand and Chemin De Fer jeans which were all very popular brands at the time. I loved my sizzler dress and wore it often although sans pantyhose which made the panty fit weird, so it was bare tanned legs for me. I believe I wore it with some Sbicca (sp?) platform sandals. HOT! As gas as ages were concerned I'm pretty sure girls from 7th through 12th grades were wearing these dresses at that time. It was a fad that blazed fast and hot. They were super popular for a year or so, the. Just faded away. They were really cute though and girls with nice legs often received much attention in the form of long looks and a few wolf whistles. Maybe that's why they didn't last long. Funny how even though they were super short they looked so cute and feminine girls routinely wore these to church. Thanks for the memories!
