I worked at Scotty's on the north side of Kokomo,IN for a year while in high school. Around 1967-68. We made fries fresh each day ... from real potatoes! Amazing for a fast food place. Best fries in town, hands down. Started by Dan Lasater in Kokomo. The store I worked at was managed by his brother, Don. They were managers at McDonald's for a bit. Dan, with others, also started Ponderosa Steak House.
