I see a lot of comments here about the Scotty’s that was on Sproul Road in Springfield, PA. (It’s a KFC/TB now.) Among the memories of greasy fries and great milkshakes in Tartan-decorated containers is another, less innocent memory. In the late 60s, that parking lot was jammed on weekends, as someone here has already noted. What wasn’t noted is that the people doing the jamming were teenagers and young adults, and that the parking lot was little less than an open-air drug market. Thus the police were a frequent sight there as well...
