Ang: One way to connect this bizarre puzzle, the Scotty's hamburger place, is contact the Shelbyville Times-Gazette. Most newspapers archive by reproducing older editions on microfilm. What complicates the search is that Scotty's has no in-house website. I also didn't see it mentioned in Wikipedia. There are still three Scotty's stores in Tennessee, all appear to be the same chain. There were around 15 stores in 9 states when the chain peaked in 1971. The outdoor signage indicates they opened between 1961 and 1967. Everything about the chain is vague. If no one from the area responds, try the local newspaper, ask if it has old editions archived try the range of 1965 to 1985, and you are looking for ads from Scotty's Drive-In.
