Not only do I remember Scotties in Springfield PA, Devon, PA, and Scotties Jr in Aston PA but I worked at both the Springfield and Aston locations in the 60's. When I first started there burgers and fries were $.15. We made the fries from fresh potatoes. They weren't the pre-cut frozen things they use today. I can remember days when "Cardinal O'Hara" had football games there were lines at both windows that stretched across the lot up a small grade and continued across the gas station lot on the corner. We were filling orders nonstop for 2-3 hrs and it was all we could do to keep up with the demand, cooking 50 burgers at a time. I still have a Scotties embroidered patch that came off one of the shirts someplace.
