Went to Catholic school in VA and MD. Was able to get hot lunch on Friday's for a .25 cents. The rest of the week, us kids had Scooter Pies in every lunch box with a bag of Frito's, quartered apples, a sandwich; 3 cents for milk. 1st grade I'd get two cartons of milk, they were penny 1/2 a piece... yeah right???!!! haha! We'd get the strawberry and banana Scooter Pies too! Today's recipe for Scooter Pie's is pretty darn gross, too high in preservatives & other psuedo foods, them nasty chemical fillers.
