When in college the scooter pie company left out the ingredient that preserved the pies. They could not sell them so they donated a truckload of them to the college. The college in turn gave a case to each student (small school) and fed them in the cafeteria. As time went on the lack of preservative allowed them to turn a little chewy - well a lot chewy, but they were much improved to me since they lasted much longer :-P Thanks scooter pie company - hummm wonder if that relates to my diabetes? :-) probably not but certainly my weight back then :-)
