Similar to Sheronda who posted above, I would wear Sassons and go rollerskating with my friends. We were 12 and 13 at the time, but thought we were very cool. After all, the tv commercials lead us to believe in the power of "designer jeans" ;) just kidding. I think I also had tan and brown Sasson cords (corduroys) - all were worn with a big comb in the back pocket, very cool for Long Island.
