Yeah, it was the thing to wear your arena rock t-shirt the day after the concert, which was often a month or so after you'd camped out overnight in a line to buy tickets with your friends. As someone interested more in punk/postpunk/etc at the time, I and my friends scorned concert t-shirts as "too 70s," but they really are typical of a period from the early 70s to the early 80s. Where I lived in the late 70s, Van Halen and the Rolling Stones were the most popular concerts to attend, with even teachers taking off from school to camp out for Rolling Stones tickets.
