Another antique junket produced results, in a small cache of Post cereal records. An Archies record from Alpha Bits ("Boys and Girls" off first LP), another Archies from Honey Comb ("Archie's Party" off "Jingle Jangle" LP), and from Rice Krinkles, Bobby Sherman's "Seattle," which (first done by Perry Como) served as opening theme to ABC-TV's "Here Come the Brides" (second season only, 1969-70). While Sherman's character, Jeremy Boldt, and Bridgett Hanley's Candy were somewhat romantically involved, all the pre-teenie magazines exploited it by making readers think that Sherman and Hanley had something going. Not! While "Here Come the Brides" had a minor cult following, the overall ratings were abysmal, and it was cancelled after two seasons.
