From May, 1971 in the Racine Journal-Times: Red Barn hamburgers for 15 cents! A weekend special, only. By then, most hamburger chains priced single burgers for 20 to 25c. The owner off the B-C family restaurant discovered another Red Barn oddity: The thermostat to control room temperature is up in the storage loft (between roof and ceiling). The more obvious one, of course, was restrooms that were accessible from outside, and too tiny for wheelchairs (that was corrected).
