Work is in progress at the former Red Barn building in Racine, Wis. The new restaurant, Burgers, Custard & More, is set to open mid August. So far, the upper portion of the front exterior wall was painted gray. Original red tile walls still intact on lower portion. A new hallway being constructed to allow handicap access to new, larger restrooms. New outside marquee sign with a hamburger pictured. While this virtually destroys most of Red Barn's original design, it's necessary to save the building from demolition. Once open, Coronavirus will be an issue.
