In New Jersey back in the late 60's we cracked the code to "WIN" 10 cents under every bottle top. Along the cap were the words Bottled in NY New York. If there was a period in between the NY (Bottled In N.Y. New York)it was a certain 10 cent winner. If it just read (Bottled in NY New York)it was a loser.Back then it was 50 cents a bottle. We would put 40 cents on the counter and when the clerk told us it was 50 cents we would unscrew the cap, pull out the label, and had him our 10 cent winner. He never did figure out how we always came up with "guaranteed" winners.
