Bill Fredricks started the Fredricks Corporation and marketed the Puffer Kite. It was the "Toy of the Year" but I don't recall when. Bill did well with it and, I understand, did okay when he sold it to The Cambridge Corporation, which was a small publicly-held corp based in Cambridge, MN. They owned an ad production company and maybe that had something to do with the buy. That company sold the works to the VP of Marketing who I believe had Cambridge Toys Co. He developed several other kit styles but went bankrupt in about the early 80s. I then bought the patents, mold rights and other assets from the bankruptcy trustee and some inventory form others. I corresponded and spoke with Bill Fredricks who had little interest in getting back into the business due to his poor health.
